Project Bathroom

This project consisted of 5 phases:

Phase 1 Planning

Planning is the most important part of starting any project and working closely with the customer on design and timelines for the required work, as professionals are goal at Right 1st Time Property Maintenance is to ensure that the customer is always happy and aware of any planning changes at all times.

Phase 2 Demolition

This work will only take 1 day as the old Bathroom is removed and disposed of, taking care that the old electrics, water plumbing are capped off before demolition commences, usually we will insist on the client not being present during this process as we have a responsibility for health and safety of the client and any animals present as this can be a lot of dust and noise, we also take great care that all personal items are covered or packed away.

Phase 3 Rewire and Plumbing

The new bathroom designs will always require new drainage and new wiring depending on the positioning of any lights and electrical showers or shaver points, as a matter of policy Right 1st Time Property Maintenance will always inspect the wiring and plumbing to ensure it will not leak and the wiring is safe, this project was a prime example of that as the entire room require re-wire with the correct fan and shower isolator switches and the plumbing replaced to include the water isolator and main stop valve to ensure no leaks once the bathroom units are installed.

Phase 4 Tiling and Decoration

Before the bathroom is installed the tiling and decorating are completed, usually the tiles will be to the floor to ceiling to prevent any damp to the walls as this is the most important phase the room need to be water tight in-case of any leaks.

Phase 5 Assembly and Installation of bathroom

All bathroom suppliers are different most bathrooms like this one from comes unprepared without taps and wastes, making it even more important that a set of comprehensive plans were provided with the unit measurements, once assembled the units are installed and silicon sealed to the tiles ensuring to seal the flooring before installation making the room seamless.

This whole process for this bathroom took 1 week from Phase 2 to 5 at a cost of under £1700 in labour due to having tradesmen with multiple trade skills negating the need for additional tradesmen to be employed.
