Garden Project

This project consisted of 5 phases:

Phase 1 Planning

Planning is the most important part of starting any project and working closely with the customer on design and timelines for the required work, as professionals are goal at Right 1st Time Property Maintenance is to ensure that the customer is always happy and aware of any planning changes at all times.

Phase 2 Clearance

This work will only take 1 day, usually we will insist all animals not being present during this process as we have a responsibility for health and safety of the client and any animals present as there will be a lot debris and soil to be removed, usually redesign of a garden will mean removal of several tons of soil and require skips.

Phase 3 Foundations

Foundations are always used to construct retaining wall, paths and drainage, usually minimum 30cm deep to a maximum of 1 metre depending on the height of the retaining walls, as a matter of policy Right 1st Time Property Maintenance will always allow 48 hours to dry before building on them to prevent subsidence.

Phase 4 Assembly of walls and paths

All paths and wall are constructed with a weed control membrane and steal re-bar to give extra strength and prevent movement, this project required a single brick wall with a concrete wall behind it to hold back the 5 tons of ¾ crush stone and the 10 tons of soil required to create the split level garden.

Phase 5 Plant boarders and lay grass

The end process is the window dressing of any garden, with quality lawn turf and an array of coloured plants and bushes that complement the garden with low maintenance to the client.

This whole process for this garden took 2 week from Phase 2 to 5 at a cost of under £2500 in labour due to having tradesmen with multiple trade skills negating the need for additional tradesmen to be employed.

Great workers from the time we got the quote to finishing the job. Always informed on any changes or plan of action for the day. They cleaned up every evening to keep the place tidy and clean as doing a major garden project does create a lot of mess. I must say they are extremely hard working and very professional.
